AUS vs PAK, 1st Test, Day 3 - Australia 8 wickets away from victory as Pakistan needs another 420
At the start of day, Pakistan were trailing with 332 runs with Sarfaraz Ahmed on 34 and Mohammad Amir on 8.
New Delhi: Welcome to our score updates of 1st Test, 3rd Day between Australia and Pakistan from Gaba.
With Pakistan reeling on 97/8 at stumps on Day 2, Australia are most likely to enforce follow on and continue making the visitors suffer against their rampant pace attack.
The extent of damage caused by the Aussie seamers can be understood considering Sarfaraz Ahmad, presently batting on 32, is the top scorer for the tourists followed by opener Sami Aslam (22) and Babar Azam (19). No other batsman could even manager to get into double figures as Mitchell Sarc with 3, Josh Hazlewood with 3 and Jackson Bird with 2 were amongst wickets.
The were equally dominant with the bat as well after skipper Steve Smith, dropped on 53 and on 97, led the way with a score of 130 at Gaba, followed by Peter Handscomb with 105 and Matt Renshaw were the top run-getters before Pakistan came out to bat.
As far as Day 3 is concerned, Australia would be looking to bundle the Pakistani tail as soon as possible and then enforce a follow on. At the start of day, Pakistan were trailing with 332 runs with Sarfaraz Ahmed on 34 and Mohammad Amir on 8.
