Bangladesh vs England, 2nd Test, Day 2: As it happened...
ENGLAND 244; BANGLADESH 220 & 152/3
Bangladesh have a lead of 127 runs and with 7 wickets in hand and they will fancy there chances to take it pass 250 at least on Day 3. After that, it will be almost impossible for England to achieve this in the 4th innings, as the wicket is on the slow side and the 3rd wicket partneship of 86 runs between Kayes and Mahmudullah have done the trick for hosts.

Despite taking two wickets before and third wicket at the end of day's play, Bangladesh are still way ahead England at the end of Day 2.
Third wicket was taken by Zafar Ansari, who bowled Mahmudullah with a very full ball, batsman went for the sweep and missed it. Lack of concentration.

Excellent start from the Bangladeshi openers, Tamim in particular, who is looking to continue the good form from the 1st innings. England need to take wickets if they want to win this Test match because chasing more than 200 on this pitch will be a daunting task for the them.

England all out for 244, with a handy lead of 24 runs in the 1st innings.
The partnership between Woakes-Rashid was broken by the best bowler of the opposition Mehedi Hasan, who took 6 wickets in this innings. The wicket of Finn was taken by Taijul Islam to wrap up the proceedings for England.

Woakes and Rashid are putting some crucial runs for England, as they have leveled the 1st innings score of Bangladesh. At one point of time it looked like that hosts will have a healthy lead and dismiss the visitors cheaply, but these two are looking firm in their approach.

England have lost the plot in Mirpur. At Lunch, they were 57 runs behind with two wickets at hand. Bangladesh's Mehedi Hasan Miraz has taken his second five-wicket haul in two matches, and the youngster is likely to do more damage as the game progresses.

England lost two more wickets, in the form of Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes. They now trail Bangladesh by another 111 runs in the first innings.
Bangladesh lost the initiative after a great start to the second day, but then, by the end of day 1, they were back again. England, after bowling out Bangladesh for 220, lost three wickets for 50 runs.
