Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav has been ruled out of the TATA IPL 2022 owing to a left forearm muscle injury. Yadav sustained the injury during the team’s fixture against Gujarat Titans on 6th May, 2022.
A statement from the Mumbai Indians explains that the decision has been taken in consultation with the BCCI medical team. Surya suffered from a muscle strain on his left fore arm.
This is the second time Suryakumar Yadav has got injured in recent months.
Suryakumar played 8 matches this season for the Mumbai Indians scoring 303 runs at an average of 43.29 that included 3 half centuries.

Surya had also missed the first two matches for Mumbai Indians in this season as he was undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru after he had suffered a hairline fracture while fielding in the third and final T20I against the West Indies in Kolkata in February
