New Delhi: South African all-rounder David Wiese made headlines during the group league game of the 2016-17 CSA T20 challenge between Knights and Titans.
Though David Miller slammed a brilliant century where he single-handedly took Knights to a formidable total of 185/6 in their allotted 20 overs, it was one of Wiese's ball which caught everybody's attention.
During the last ball of the 3rd over during Knights innings, Wiese, who usually bowls in the mid 130s, was taken by surprise as the screen showed that he had clocked 173.8 Km/hr.
After the match, even Wiese jokingly posted the screenshot of the incident and said that hours of working at the gym had finally made him a genuine fast bowler.
"So does this officially make me a fast bowler! Must be all those long hours in the gym! #hardworkpaysoff #surebud #speedgunisajoke," his tweet read.

Notably, the record for the fastest ball ever is currently with Pakistan's Shoaib Akhtar, who clocked 161.3km/h vs. England in 2003 at Newlands.
