New Delhi: Former British Prime Minister has revealed desire to kidnap Indian cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar to train the England cricket team, who are experiencing a torrid time in the on-going Test series against India.

The 50-year-old joked about kidnapping the Little Master and putting him at helm to train the English cricketers at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit on Saturday.

Cameron expressed how passionate he is about the connect between India and the UK, not just because of the “shared ties of history and culture” but also due to the “modern partnership” which has given birth to many jobs and investments.

Cameron also talked about both countries' love love for the “beautiful game of cricket”.

“Given the way the Test series (between the two countries) is going… we need to kidnap him (Tendulkar)… for training,” he said, referring the fact that India have a 2-0 lead with 2 matches still to go in the series.

Tendulkar himself also spoke at the HT Leadership summit, stressing on a few important factors including the future of Test cricket.

"Test cricket is not dying. It’s about the big rivalries. There was a time when everyone wanted to beat West Indies. Then came Australia. These rivalries are dying," said the Master Blaster.

He also spoke about on-field tussles with Australia Great Glenn McGrath, saying "Getting not angry on a cricket field was a strategy. The battle against McGrath was great. We fought on the field, but off it, we were great friends."

Sachin also spoke about the status of present Indian cricket team, coach Anil Kumble, domestic cricket and even IPL.
