New Delhi: India is a country which is driven by politics and cricket. Now it seems that both can't stop complementing each other.
On Thursday, former Indian cricketer and team director, Ravi Shashtri tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulating him on Bharatiya Janta Party's (BJP) stunning victory in the recently concluded Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
Shashtri also used his famous phrase "Tracer Bullet" in the tweet and referred to PM Modi and BJP president Amit Shah as batsmen. He tweeted "Congratulations @BJP4India on the landslide win in UP. The pair of PM @narendramodi & @AmitShah went past 300-mark like a #TracerBullet"

The reply by PM Modi has taken Twitter by storm as the tweet has received over 2 thousand retweets and 4400 favorites.
BJP returned to power in UP after a gap of 14 years. The party won 319 of the 403 Assembly seats. Along with its allies the saffron party won 325 seats.
On the other hand, Samajwadi Party-Congress combine managed to win only 54 seats.
Shashtri is not the only former cricketer to wish PM Modi for the landslide victory in the Hindi heartland as Mohammad Kaif had also congratulated him on the day of the result.
