Eoin Mogan has no choice but go to Bangladesh, reveals Kevin Pietersen

New Delhi: England's tour of Bangladesh is the latest debate in world cricket circles.

With security concerns surrounding the Asian country, opinion among players over the trip is divided.

"It's been a really busy two and a half weeks, I'll have a few days off, think about it, and then make a decision about touring Bangladesh. You have to be comfortable enough about taking the field," said skipper Eoin Morgan after losing the 1st T20I against Pakistan.

Test skipper Alastair Cook is willing to travel to Bangladesh even after an attack on a Dhaka cafe in July. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said that the tour, which includes two Test matches and three ODI's in October and November, will go ahead as planned after a security review was done.

This puts pressure on Morgan to tour with rest of the team despite him not being fully prepared to do so.

With Cook willing to go, there is no option left for Morgan, feels discarded England batsman Kevin Pietersen.

"Eoin Morgan has no choice but to go to Bangladesh. It is a case of one in, all in so if he does not go he will have a red cross next to his name as far as the bosses at the England and Wales Cricket Board are concerned.

"When Alastair Cook is willing to lead the Test squad it puts huge pressure on Eoin as captain of the one-day team. He may still decide not to make the trip, and it is his right to take that personal choice, but it will be held against him at some stage in the future, despite any assurances to the contrary. "When everyone else says they are willing to go why do you think you are more important than the others?" That will be the unsaid message," Kevin Pietersen wrote in The Telegraph.

The squads for the tour will be named on September 16.

Andrew Strauss, team director, confirmed that the other players will inform their decision on Friday or Saturday.
