Favourite spinner Anil Kumble snubbed, Sachin Tendulkar only Indian in R Ashwin's all-time XI

New Delhi: ICC World No. 1 bowler in Tests, Ravichandran Ashwin has left fans mesmerized with his brilliant displays with the ball no matter what the conditions are. Ashwin, who was named Man of the Series in India's past three series – South Africa, West Indies and New Zealand – has unarguably become India's go-to bowler and has also contributed with his bat at times.

The man, who by many is considered to be touching the legendary phase in Indian cricket, was asked to pick his all-time XI and he just didn't disappoint.

1. Sachin Tendulkar: The man who hardly needs introduction, is considered the greatest batsman ever after Sir Don Bradman.

2. Adam Gilchrist: The former Australian wicket-keeper who opened innings for his side, too is responsible for revolutionising the role in cricket.

3. Jacques Kallis: The South African, who can bat and bowl equally good, has the best statistics as an all-rounder in the world.

4. Brian Lara: The stylish left hander is unarguably one of the greatest batsman of all time, especially in the middle order.

5. Inzamam-ul-Haq: The former Pakistani captain was a treat to watch during his prime. A nightmare for bowlers.

6. Steve Waugh: Arguably the best captain ever to lead the Australian side, considering his contribution in developing that team.

7. Michael Bevan: Probably the best finisher till date, the Australian stalwart was known for his resilience through which he guided his side to many victories.

8. Lance Klusner: The South African all-rounder was one of the Proteas' best throughout his career.

9. Shane Warne: The legendary leg-spinner, unarguably the best ever, is the only spinner in Ashwin's XI.

10. Wasim Akram: Unarguably the greatest left-arm bowler of all time, the Pakistani speedster was unplayable in his prime.

11. Glenn McGrath: Another Aussie legend concludes the line-up and you just can't think for a better ending than McGrath.
