New Delhi: Austrlian batsman Glenn Maxwell secured a stunning inning of 145 runs against Sri Lanka to help his side secure highest ever T20 International total of 263 runs.
The opening batsman ruck 14 fours and nine sixes during his 65-ball stay to help Australia break a nine-year record held by Sri Lanka.
Impressed by Maxwell's influential performance, Twitter Guru Virender Sehwag tweeted:

Sehwag, who was earlier hoping Suresh Raina could secure a century of India Green in the domestic competition, but found out that his prayers actually worked towards the benefit of Glenn Maxwell.

Before the match, the record of highest ever T20 team total was held by Sri Lanka for the 260 runs they scored against Kenya.
