Ind vs Aus 2017: David Warner picks his favourite Indian batsman and his choice might leave you surprised

New Delhi: Australian left-hander David Warner picked Indian opener Lokesh Rahul as his favourite batsman from the current Indian team.

The swashbuckling left-hander, along his with his Aussies team-mates, is basking in the glory of Australia's emphatic 333-run win over India in the first Test played at Pune.

Warner on Tuesday held a Q&A session for his fans where he asked them to send their questions to him.

When one of the fans asked Warner about his favourite Indian batsman and bowler from the current team, the 30-year-old replied, "@BhuviOfficial and @klrahul11."

Warner's pick might surprise several cricket fans as the current Indian Test team boasts of some established names in Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay, who have proved their mettle not just in India, but across the world.

Notably, Warner has a huge fan following in India as he is also the skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who won their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title in 2016.

In the first Test at Pune, despite Australia's convincing win, Warner failed to make an impact with the bat as he managed to score just 48 runs from two innings.
