India vs Australia, 2nd Test: KL Rahul fought lone battle in Bangalore

New Delhi: It turned out to be testing day for India as Australian spinners dominated the Day 1 of the second Test on Saturday at Bangalore.

But local boy Lokesh Rahul hold the fort for the hosts with an innings of extreme caution and application.

He faced the ball then witnessed the Indian innings crumbled. The only notable support he got today was from Karun Nair, whose 26 was the second highest score for India.

The 24-year-old finally perished after playing 205 balls. His score of 90 almost made up more than half of India's total.

Nathan Lyon took eight wickets in a dream spell, to help Australia bowled out India for a paltry 189.
