New Delhi: Stand-in-skipper Rohit Sharma added another feather to his already splendid career by becoming only the second Indian to score 1500 T20I runs on Wednesday, 20th December.
The Mumbaikar joined regular skipper Virat Kohli as the only batsmen from India to reach this landmark.

He reached this terrific milestone during his innings of 17 against Sri Lanka in the first T20I, at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Till now, the 30-year old right handed batsman has featured in 69 T20Is for India, making 1502 runs at a 30.04 average, with a strike rate of 129.93. His spell in T20Is has been coupled with 134 fours and 56 sixes, with a high score of 106.
Rohit scored his only T20I century against South Africa in 2015, where he made 106 runs.
India won the match against Sri Lanka in comfortable 93 run victory and recorded their highest ever T20I win in terms of runs. The Men in Blue will be meeting the Lankans again on 22nd December 2017 in Indore's Holkar Stadium and will be looking to seal the series with a victory.
