New Delhi: The opening match Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) could be a huge moment for Afghanistan, as two of its cricketers – Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan – are all set to make their debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The two cricketers were bought at the IPL auction earlier this year by the Hyderabad franchise.


Just hours ahead of the opening match, veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor took to Twitter to express his views saying that he wanted to see Pakistani players in the tournament as well.


"IPL. You got world players. Afghanistan makes debut. My plea is please consider Pakistani players.Phir match hoga! Hum bade log hain.Please!" he tweeted.



Pakistani players have not featured in the legue after the inaugural season where several of them played for different franchises.
