New Delhi: There's a saying in cricket that Ravindra Jadeja's arm should not be tested. Well, AB de Villiers and Mandeep Singh tried to steal a single during the Royal Challengers Bangalore-Gujarat Lions IPL match on Thursday only to reinforce that fact.

After losing the wickets of Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Travis Head and Kedar Jadhav early, hosts RCB needed mercurial AB de Villiers to steady the innings. But the South African returned after playing only 11 balls, thanks to a run-out, effected by Jadeja direct hit.


Mandeep Singh played the third ball of the 10th over, bowled by Ankit Soni, towards point, and on AB's call, the RCB duo scampered for a single. But a Jadeja rocket throw hit the stumps at striker's end, sending back a flat-footed AB back to the pavilion.

The star-studded RCB batting line-up faltered once again, posting a paltry total of 134 all out in a much win match for either side.
