Mitchell McClenaghan, who provided Mumbai early breakthrough by removing Rahul Tripathi in the very first over was very economical until he faced Dhoni in the 19th over of the match.


The former India captain smashed the New Zealand speedster to a high six which landed in the RPS dug out. MI skipper Rohit Sharma, who was fielding at the long off boundary tried to follow the ball's trajectory hoping to catch it but found himself sitting alongside Pune players.

Dhoni walked in to join Tiwary and did not take long to hit his first six, depositing a half-volley off Karn Sharma over deep midwicket.


Mumbai leaked 41 runs in the last two overs bowled by Mitchel McClenaghan and Jasprit Bumrah, who went for 26 and 15 respectively.
