Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) registered a brilliant away win over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mohali on Thursday. Punjab made the target of 175 look even bigger courtesy some poor batting display. After top order was completely blown away, Jitesh Sharma played a good knock of 41 runs to steady the innings but it was not enough on the day. Shikhar Dhawan's absence was hugely felt by Punjab in this clash.

Earlier, PBKS opted to field first vs RCB and restricted them to 174 for 4 in 20 overs. Faf du Plessis, who was playing this game just as batter, put on 137 for the first wicket with Virat Kohli but the middle order crumbled just when they needed a boost in strike rate. RCB have entered the top 4 of the IPL 2023 Points Table with this win. At the same time, Punjab have slipped to the seventh spot with their third loss this season.

He picked up two wickets in 18th over to get the match back into RCB's corner.  Harshal Patel hits the last nail in the coffin to seal the deal.
