MS Dhoni charged Rs 60 crore for his biopic! But how much money did Sachin Tendulkar ask for?

New Delhi: MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is off to a flyer in cinemas, close touching the Rs. 100 crore mark in the first week itself.

The Sushant Singh Rajput starer has drawn plenty of plaudits for beautifully displaying MS Dhoni's journey to the absolute top.

Before the movie's release, we reported that Dhoni took a sum or Rs 60 crore for allowing filmmakers to make a biopic on his life.

Mahi isn't the only cricketer to have a biopic on his life. Earlier, Emraan Hashmi starer Azhar was released on the life of former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin.

However, the most anticipated biopic for cricket fans would unarguably be the Master Blaster's -

Sachin: A Billion Dreams.

The release date of the movie hasn't been revealed yet but the teaser of the movie was released on April 14, 2016.

The fact that will make fans fall in love with Sachin all over again is the fact that he did not charge a single penny for a movie on his life, contrary to the huge amount Dhoni had asked for.

Sources also claim that Sachin persuaded his son, Arjun to play the role of young Sachin Tendulkar in the movie, produced by friend Ravi Bhagchandka.

The Little Master was reportedly very happy to give away intimate details of his glorious life without charging any fees for it. With the film producer being a close friend, Tendulkar just could not ‘dream of taking money’ from him.

If the succes of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has been so huge, one can imagine the tremors Sachin: A Billion Dreams will cause once it gets released.
