New Delhi: Flambouyant Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi's sudden announcement to end his association with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) winners Peshawar Zalmi has shocked team captain Darren Sammy.
Afridi, 37, took to Twitter on Saturday to announce his decision, which he claimed is "personal".

But the 2016 T20I World Cup winning captain from West Indies was shocked to hear the knew.

Afridi was also confident that Peshawar fans will follow wherever he goes.

Zalmi won the 2017 edition of PSL by defeating Quetta Gladiators by 58 runs in the final.
Afridi, who is also the icon player of the team, missed the all-important final after picking an injury in the semi-final.
