Skipper David Warner led the clinical chase with a masterful 106 off 126 balls. His hundred was the first by an Australian in Sri Lanka in ODIs. Some time coming!

Australia thus wrapped up the series 4-1, a good response after the drubbing they received from the Lankans in the Test series.

John Hastings hit a four off the third ball of the 43rd over, bowled by Dhananjaya de Silva, and leveled the score.

Needing a single, Hastings scored the winning runs after two dot balls, with a sweep, which went for a boundary.

And Australia won the match by five wickets, and completed 4-1 series win.

Century for David Warner, first of the series and of the tour for him. He has single handedly won the match for Australia with his batting efforts today which Australia missed throughout the tour. This is the highest score for an Australian in Sri Lanka after 24 years. Bailey though played a supporting role, rotated the strike well but eventually was dismissed by Parera for 44. Travis Head comes in at number 5, will try to get some runs for him as well.

David Warner has already opened his arms and is trying to hit in every corner of the park. George Bailey is too playing an odd boundary her and there. He is inching towards his century. Lankan's look desperate for a break-through.

Dull period for Lankan bowlers, they are trying very hard but nothing is happening for them. An edge files past the vacant slip position of Warner's bat, except that nothing has worked for Sri Lanka. Warner though completed his fifty, 1st of the series, 2nd of the tour and 2nd after 12 innings. He would like to continue his form and finish the match for Australia.

A better period for Australian batsman. They are playing sweetly with odd edge here and there but continuing to dominate what they did the whole ODI series. Sri Lankan bowlers are trying very hard to get them out.

Warner and Bailey are trying to stay calm at the crease. They have depth in their batting line up but Finch being injured they would want to complete the task by themselves. Both have survived a couple of close calls especially Warner as he was caught by Leg-gully fielder but Umpire didn't hear the knick.

The ploy to open with spin has played dividends to Lanka. Khawaja is beaten in the flight, comes down the track and tried to hit it towards mid-wicket, leading edge and gone. Easy catch for Gunathilaka. Now, Australia are 25/2 and are struggling to even read spin. These two need to stitch together a partnership if they want to chase this easy looking total.

A decent 1st over by Suranga Lakmal. Chandimal called for spin straight away in the powerplay and just in the 4th over Dilruwan Parera dismissed Wade caught by Kusal (wicket-keeper). Now Sri Lanka have to maintain the pressure on the Aussies if they want to salvage some pride in ODI's.

Australian batsman are out in the middle. David Warner and Matthew Wade are in the centre. Finch has not come out to open because of the slight injury in his hand while fielding. Now Lanka have to bowl really very well to make a match out of it because 195 is not good enough with the sort of batting line up Australia have.

Sri Lanka all out for 195 and couldn't play full quota of 50 overs. Once the openers were dismissed whole of the Lankan batting line up surrendered to Aussie attack. All the Australians bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals and none of the Lankan batsman were able to make fifties. The highest individual score made by Gunathilaka (39) and 3 wickets were taken by Starc.

Starc gets two wickets in two balls. This is brutal fast bowling for the tail-enders to handle. It was bowled at 147kmh with angle from round the wicket doing the trick in both the wickets. Perera being bowled with the ball just angling in and Lamal bowled with a pin point yorker at the stumps. Aponso survives the hat-trick ball. The last wicket didn't hang around for long and Boland finished the Lankan innings by dismissing Pathirana.

Lankan batsman are not able to apply themsleves and now Perera is caught in front of the stumps, Umpire has given him out but he reviews it immediately. Some bat was involved but umpire didn't thought so and give Perara out. The straighter one from Zampa and Shanaka played it for the turn and tried to cut it and misses it. No respite for Lankan batsman as the Australian bowlers are bowling with some intent now.

Now the part timer takes the wicket. Travis Head changed the pace of the delivery, bowled it a little slower, ball stops onto the surface, invites Tharanga to drive and that results in the dismissal. Poor shot from an experienced player. Somebody needs to stay at the crease if Lanka have to put up a decent total.

Another set batsman, Kusal Mendis, departed when he was trapped by a cheeky ball from John Hastings. The veteran speedster pitched a slow short ball which was edged to the keeper. Three of Sri Lanka's batsmen have been dismissed in their thirties today. Someone needs to play a big knock here. Tharanga is at the crease, accompanied by Kusal Perera.

Starc provided Australia with a massive breakthrough with the wicket of skipper Chandimal in his fourth over. The ball was pitched short, Chandimal tried playing a cheeky upper cut but just managed an edge to the keeper. The skipper would be extremely disappointed with that shot. Kusal Mendis meanwhile, is playing a good hand here. Sri Lanka need him to stay at the crease for as long as possible.

Australia bounced back in the match as they dismissed both the openers in successive overs. While James Faulkner broke the 73-run stand for the opening wicket by dismissing de Silva, Adam Zampa followed it with the wicket of Gunathilaka. Kusal Mendis and Dinesh Chandimal are the two new batsmen at the crease. The hosts need another good stand here.

What a fine start for Sri Lanka! Since they are playing without Angelo Mathews and Thisara Perera, these two have laid a soild foundation for the batsmen to come. Both the batsmen are complementing each other pretty well and hosts are in the driver's seat at the moment.

Dhananjaya de Silva and Danushka Gunathilaka have opened the innings for Sri Lanka. Pretty decent start for the hosts. Starc and Hastings will be a tad disappointed since they have failed to provide Australia an early breakthrough. Hosts would want their openers to convert this into a big stand.

Having already lost the series, Sri Lanka would be looking to end the series on a high against the Aussies, who bounced back after a 0-3 humiliation in Tests.

The balance of the Lankan outfit for the final ODI suffered a huge blow as regular skipper Angelo Mathews was ruled out of the last match after a sharp bouncer hit his helmet in the fourth ODI.

On the other hand, despite not being in the best of form with the bat, David Warner has led the Australian team pretty well since the departure of Steve Smith.

Australia are leading the five-match series 3-1 and it remains to be seen whether they can head home with a 4-1 win.
