Australian batsman Ollie Davies entered the history books after smashing six sixes in an over en route to a record-breaking double century during the Cricket Australia Under 19 Male National Championships in Adelaide.

Davies scored 207 runs off just 115 deliveries in an innings comprising of seventeen sixes while representing the New South Wales Metro.

The 18-year-old who idolises opener Shaun Marsh, scored a century off 74 deliveries. Not content with this, he further reached his double-ton off just 39 more deliveries.

"After the first two sixes I had it in the back of my head I wanted to give it a crack and it paid off at the end," said Davies, the NSW Metro's captain.

“I was trying to target (the area) from forward square to cow corner and I was just getting down on the back leg, almost before it was even bowled, and trying to slog sweep them over mid-wicket," he added.

Davies's knock was the first one-day-double century ever scored in the tournament and also emerged as the first across all formats of the game since Jason Krejza's knock back in 2001-02.

The 18-year-old also recently became the youngest batsman in the history of his NSW Premier Cricket side Manly-Warringah to score a first X1 century.
