New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has been very active on social micro-blogging site Twitter of late.
From wishing birthdays to cricketers in his own funny style, to giving a fitting reply to UK journalist Piers Morgan for his tweet mocking Indian athletes, Sehwag has been a huge hit on social-media in the last few months.
On Friday the batsman from Nazafgarh once again made headlines as he refused the invitation of a news channel to appear on their prime time show to express his views against Morgan's tweet.
Sehwag, who hasn't replied to Morgan despite the latter provoking him with more tweets, refused the offer saying that he did not deserve any time.
Here's what Sehwag tweeted:
Arnab Goswami wants me to speak on that British guys views on India on NewsHour, but that man doesnt deserve any airtime, hence I have denied

Here is how it all started.
Piers, who has the reputation of hitting out at trolls, provoked several Indian fans after he mocked India celebrating the performances of its two medal-winners at Rio.
Here is what Piers tweeted:
Country with 1.2 billion people wildly celebrates 2 losing medals. How embarrassing is that? https://t.co/FYSBM7ErAf
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 24, 2016
Soon after his tweet, Viru was one of the many Indian celebrities to respond:
We cherish every small happiness',

But Eng who invented Cricket,&yet2win a WC,still continue to playWC.Embarrassing? https://t.co/0mzP4Ro8H9
Piers, who is also an ardent fan of English batsman Kevin Pietersen, replied with this tweet:
Very embarrassing, Legend.

If @KP24 was playing, we'd win the WC.
Just as we won T20 WC & he was Man of Series. https://t.co/50X5YMQSQU
Sehwag showed full respect to KP, who has regularly featured in the Indian Premier League, but also reminded Piers that the flamboyant right-hander was originally from South Africa.
KP is a legend no doubt,bt wasnt he born in SA,&by ur logic Eng shd hv won 2007WC.

Why hv prblm wid our ppl, celbrtng https://t.co/ZigCrzVG05
Piers went on backfoot after Sehwag's tweet and said that a country should only be celebrating coming first in an event.
I think people should only celebrate winning.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 24, 2016
Coming 2nd or 3rd isn't winning, it's losing.
No? https://t.co/9lkOl3iumL
After Piers Tweet, Sehwag realised that there was no point replying to him.
Things took an interesting turn when Piers challenged Sehwag with a bet:
Hi @virendersehwag, I bet you 1 million rupees to charity that England wins a ODI World Cup before India wins another Olympic Gold. Accept?
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 30, 2016
Sehwag hasn't replied to Piers since then. He did indirectly posted a tweet directed towards him though:
Some people's fortune is so bad, that
