WATCH: JP Duminy's BRILLIANT low catch to dismiss Mitchell Starc during 2nd Aus-SA Test

New Delhi: South African cricketers have always been known for their fielding, brilliant ones. We have seen Jonty Rhodes doing the unthinkable exploits in the field, then there were series of world class fielders like Herschelle Gibbs, AB de Villiers, etc in the Proteas ranks.

The same can be said of the current lot, representing the rainbow nation in the Test series in Australia. And on Saturday, Jean-Paul Duminy completed a full-stretch diving catch at third slip to dismiss Mitchell Starc during first day's play of second Test at Hobart.

Australia, already reeling under the pressure following inspired spells from Vernon Philander and Kyle Abbott, needed Starc to give company to skipper Steven Smith and hold the fort.

But Starc, soon after hitting a classic cover drive for a boundary, found himself nudging a rising delivery from Abbott. And there at the cordon, completing a virtually impossible catch, was Duminy.

The diminutive cricketer threw himself on his right, and stretched full length to pull off a stunner of a low catch even as Abbott tried to hide his disbelief in vain.

It happened off the fourth ball of the 30th over, and the wicket meant that the hosts were reduced to 66/8. Eventually, the innings was folded for 85.
