Delhi: 1 dead, 15 injured in collision between DTC bus, truck near ITO flyover

The injured persons have been shifted to the hospital.

NEW DELHI: One person died while 15 others injured in a collision between a truck and a bus near ITO flyover in New Delhi in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The incident took place at around 3 am. 

The Delhi Transport Corporation's Red Bus had left from Anand Vihar terminal and was heading towards Uttam Nagar when it collided with a truck mid-way.

The bus driver, who was hospitalised in a critical condition, succumbed to his injuries. 

Other injured persons have been shifted to the hospital.

According to eyewitnesses and conductor of the bus, the truck, which was moving on the wrong side of the road, rammed into the bus as soon as it crossed ITO flyover.

Both vehicles were damaged in the collision.
