New Delhi: A dense layer of fog enveloped most parts of northern India and Delhi which delayed 37 trains while 26 were rescheduled on Monday.
Meanwhile, operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport were also affected. As many as eight international and 10 domestic flights arriving and departing from Delhi were delayed due to foggy weather.
Visibility may shrink as fog is expected to get even denser while days will become more cold till the New Year Eve in the national capital, Bihar and parts of Uttar Pradesh, weather experts have said.
According to weather analysts the difference between maximum and minimum temperature will drop gradually by the New Year's Eve and fog would remain dense or moderate at different regions of Delhi, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh till January 2 or 3.
