New Delhi: A thick blanket of fog disrupted train services at the new Delhi Railway station Saturday morning with at least 52 trains being delayed and five rescheduled.

The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 25.2 degrees Celsius on Friday, four notches above average, while the minimum was pegged at 7.8 degrees, a Met Department official said.


Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur too woke up to a chilly morning with dense fog covering the skyline.


Thick fog also engulfed Punjab's Amritsar, leading to low visibility.


Meanwhile, cold weather and foggy conditions continued to prevail in parts of north India today with most of Kashmir Valley reeling under sub-zero temperatures


According to IMD, Light rain and snow likely to occur over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh in the coming days.


Dry weather is likely to continue to prevail over remaining parts of the country.


Possibility of moderate fog at many places with dense to very dense fog at isolated places over the northern plains during next 4-5 days.
