New Delhi: The adopted daughter of jailed Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, Honeypreet Insan, against whom an international alert has been sounded, moved the Delhi High Court on Monday seeking transit anticipatory bail.

She has been missing since the day the Dera chief was sent to Rohtak Jail.

Priyanka Taneja alias Honeypreet tops the list of 43 persons 'wanted' by the Haryana Police in connection with incidents of violence that had followed Ram Rahim's conviction in the rape cases.

Earlier, a lookout notice was issued against her by the police.

Her lawyer Pradeep Kumar Arya told PTI that they have filed the anticipatory bail petition in the Delhi HC and the matter would be mentioned tomorrow before a bench headed by acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal for early hearing.

On the other hand, as per ANI, Arya confirmed that Honeypreet visited his office in Delhi's Lajpat Nagar today afternoon.

An international alert has also been sounded for two other Dera sect functionaries - Pawan Insan and Aditya Insan.

The Haryana Police has booked all three on charges of sedition, inciting violence and criminal conspiracy.

Several teams of Haryana Police have travelled across the country, including the Indo-Nepal border, to trace the whereabouts of Honeypreet.

Convicted by the CBI court in Panchkula on two counts of rape of female disciples in 1999, Ram Rahim was sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment by the CBI court and a fine of over Rs 30 lakh.

Honeypreet had accompanied the Dera head when he had come to the special CBI court on August 25.

She had also travelled along with him in the special chopper which ferried them to Rohtak from Panchkula after the conviction.

The controversial sect head is currently lodged in Sunaria jail in Rohtak district of Haryana.

His conviction led to violence in Panchkula and Sirsa in Haryana.

Isolated incidents of violence were also reported from Delhi and several other places in Punjab.
