IITF to begin in Delhi from Tuesday, traffic snarls expected
India International Trade Fair to begin in Delhi from Tuesday.
New Delhi: Major traffic snarls in central and Lutyens' Delhi can be expected from Tuesday with the India International Trade Fair (IITF) starting.
Traffic congestion is expected till the concluding day of the fair - November 27.
Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Ring Road, Shershah Road and Purana Quila Road will be affected, a police advisory said.
No vehicle will be allowed to halt or park anywhere on Mathura Road and Bhairon Marg, it added.
The advisory also prohibits parking of vehicles on Sher Shah Road, Purana Quila Road, Bhagwan Dass Road and Tilak Marg.
Vehicles found parked on these roads shall be towed away and their owners prosecuted with a fine of Rs 600 for improper parking and disobedience of lawful instructions, it said.
ITPO has earmarked initial four days for business visitors in 2017 instead of five days as was the norm earlier.
