New Delhi: In more trouble for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday said that the allegations made by sacked Aam Aadmi Party leader Kapil Mishra will be examined.
Kapil Mishra has given three complaints relating to bribery and irregularities against functionaries of Delhi government, news agency PTI quoted the CBI as saying.
The development came hours after Mishra filed three separate complaints with the CBI against several senior AAP leaders, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Before visiting the CBI office, he claimed to have strong evidence against AAP leaders Kejriwal, Ashish Khaitan, Satyendar Jain, Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak, which he would submit to the central probe agency.
Mishra has alleged that Health Minister Satyendar Jain had settled a Rs 50-crore land deal for Kejriwal's brother-in-law in south Delhi's Chhattarpur area.
Earlier, sacked Delhi water minister said, “First FIR will be on cash deal between Satyendra Jain and Arvind Kejriwal Ji.”
“Second FIR will be on How Satyendra Jain has benefitted close relatives of Arvind Kejriwal in illegal land deals.”
“Information related to third FIR has been received today through "Lets Clean AAP Campaign”
“Third FIR will be on Foreign Tours using illegal money by Satyendra Jain, Ashish Khetan, Raghav Chaddha, Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak.”
Mishra also attacked the Kejriwal govt over its demonstration to show how EVMs can be rigged.
Kejriwal was adopting this tactic to shift the people's attention from the corruption charges levelled against him, he said.
"When MCD poll results were announced I had said that we did not lose because of EVM machines. This is just a tactic to shift people's focus," Mishra said.
Mishra had on Monday submitted documents to the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) to back his allegations that Kejriwal had delayed the probe into a Rs 400 crore tanker scam.
After being suspended from the party`s primary membership, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kapil Mishra on Tuesday issued an open letter to Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal while challenging him to contest open elections.
Mishra said that he was going to lodge a string of FIRs against the one who taught him to how to fight against corruption.
