New Delhi: Infrastructure was a major focus of CM Yogi Adityanath government's Budget. The budget allocated Rs 1,050 crore for the "Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana," Rs 4,032 crore for widows in need, and Rs 600 crore for the "Samuhik Vivah" scheme for the marriage of females from all social strata in order to target youngsters.
Finance minister Suresh Kumar Khanna suggested spending Rs 150 crore on a marriage grant programme for the daughters of low-income individuals from other underprivileged classes.
A provision of Rs 3,600 crore has been allocated in the budget for the fiscal year 2023–2024 for the purchase of tablets and smartphones for qualified students under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Plan. In terms of infrastructure, the finance minister suggested allocating more than Rs 21,159 crore for building roads and bridges and Rs 6,209 crore for maintaining them.
