New Delhi: Fliers can now carry hand baggage without security stamping of tags at six more airports, with the authorities starting a trial run of the project from Monday.
As part of efforts to ensure hassle-free movement of air passengers, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will conduct a week-long trial run at 6 more airports— Chennai, Patna, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Lucknow and Jaipur — from April 24-30.
The system of stamping and putting tags on the hand baggage of fliers has already been dispensed with from April 1 at seven airports.
The airports were Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Kochi.
