New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised the people of the country for their patience in bearing the little inconvenience and getting their notes exchange in a very patient and orderly manner.
Taking to twitter, the prime minister said, “Such warmth, enthusiasm & the patience to bear limited inconvenience for a greater good is indeed very heartening.” (sic)

After the demonetisation of the Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes by the government on Tuesday, banks across the country were open today for customers to exchange the old notes.
Millions were reported to have throng banks, some since early Thursday morning, to exchange their old notes.
Modi tweeted he was “So happy to learn that citizens are expressing their gratitude to bankers & getting notes exchanged in a very patient & orderly manner.” (sic)

He further tweeted that it was “also heartening to learn that people are actively volunteering to help senior citizens withdraw money & exchange their currency.
Through the tweet, Modi assured that the government was unwavering in its effort to create an India that is corruption free and fruits of development touch every citizen.
