New Delhi: Oil companies on Friday hiked the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2.21 and Rs 1.79 a litre respectively exclusive of state levies.

The hiked by oil companies comes in the wake of global oil prices going over $50-mark earlier this week.


To be effective from Saturday, petrol will now cost Rs 68.94 in Delhi while diesel will cost Rs 56.68 in the national capital.
