New Delhi: During the current Parliament Budget Session, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented a 'White Paper on the Indian economy'. This document talks about how things were not managed well during the time the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was in power before 2014.
Sitharaman shared the White Paper in both English and Hindi. It lists the mistakes made by the UPA government and also mentions the actions taken by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government to fix those mistakes.

The White Paper released by the government aims to show how the economy was during the years when the Congress-led UPA was in charge.
According to a report by NDTV, the White Paper says that when the current NDA government took over in 2014, the economy was in a very bad condition.
There were problems with public finances, there was mismanagement in the economy, and corruption was widespread. It was like a crisis situation.
The government, in a strong criticism, said in its analysis comparing the 10 years of the UPA government that the UPA got a healthy economy when they started but made it bad over the course of their tenure.
