Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday asked students to draw inspiration from the life of Hindutva icon Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay and urged universities to undertake research activities to resolve local problems.
Addressing the students in the presence of Governor Ram Naik, at the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, he said that as per local and regional needs pertaining to disease, unemployment and flood, the solutions have to be drawn, and research activities should be done.
"The universities must also inquire that how research activities in other countries help in resolving local problems. This can be accomplished by exchange of research papers. Research works, which can benefit the last man of the social strata should be undertaken," Adityanath said.
Speaking at the event, a day before the birth centenary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, UP Governor Ram Naik said, "All of us should take lessons from the life and philosophy of him."
