New Delhi: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has invited online applications for the post scientists/engineers in various disciplines. There are 106 vacancies.

Interested candidates can apply on the official website - isro.gov.in - to register their applications online.


As per the notification - "The Civil Engineering Programme Office (CEPO) at ISRO headquarters, Bangalore and Construction and Maintenance Division (CMDs) located at various ISRO centres/units are responsible for planning, design, construction and maintenance of all ground-based structures, buildings and associated utilities to cater to the space programme. ISRO offers the position of scientist/engineer 'SC' in level 10 of pay matrix to the young graduates in the following engineering disciplines, (i) civil; (ii) electrical; (iii) refrigeration and air conditioning and (iv) architecture."


Age limit is - "35 years as on 05.03.2018 (40 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 38 years for OBC candidates, against posts reserved for these categories). Ex-serviceman and persons with disabilities (PWD) are eligible for age relaxation as per government orders."


The notification further says, "Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an online registration number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. E-mail ID of the applicant will have to be given in the application compulsorily." 


The space research activities were initiated in our country during the early 1960s and as per the official website, "since inception, the Indian space programme has been orchestrated well and had three distinct elements such as satellites for communication and remote sensing, the space transportation system and application programmes."


Its vision is to "harness space technology for national development, while pursuing space science research and planetary exploration," it further states.
