New Delhi: Applications for sub-inspectors posts has been invited by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). Candidates who wish to apply can do so by logging on to the official website - rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in - up to May 24, 2018. As per reports, there are 330 vacancies.
For general and unreserved categories the age limit is 20-25 years as on 1-1-2017. There is a relaxation (in upper age limit ) of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates (Rajasthan domicile). For female SC/ST/OBC (Rajasthan domicile) candidates, there is a relaxation of 10 years.
In order to apply, candidates should log on to the official website and fill in the required details. They are also required to attach self-attested copies of all relevant documents and pay the application fee as per the category.
The selection procedure is - written exams and interview - and the qualification is a degree in any stream. The pay scale is Rs 9300-34800 + grade pay Rs 4200.
As per the official website, "in view of its important and impartial function, Public Service Commissions find a place of pride in the Indian Constitution. Articles 16, 234, 315 to 323 deal with various functions and powers of the Public Service Commissions. The working of RPSC is also regulated by Rajasthan Public Service Commission Rules and Regulation, 1963, rules framed by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission for the conduct of their business and the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (Regulations and validation of Procedure ordinance 1975 and Act 1976)."
