NEW DELHI: In the wake of massive protests against the alleged leak of SSC (Staff Selection Commission) examination paper, the Commission is likely to combine the CGL (Combined Graduate Level) and the CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) exams.
Reports suggest that the move will help in dealing with the problems that the Commission faces due to 'post-appointment vacancies'.
The notifications for both the examinations are released respectively during different times of the year. Also, the exams are conducted separately.
The aspirants, however, prefer CGL (Graduate level) over CHSL (Plus II level). Many a time, the candidates opt CGL even after receiving appointment letters from CHSL. Due to this, many posts fall vacant almost every year.
