Pune, Oct 20: A three-day-old infant boy was stolen from the neo-natal intensive care unit of Sasoon general hospital here, police said today. The baby born on October 17 through a caesarean operation to Rajashree Tukaram Sonawane was stolen yesterday from the NICU of the hospital, they said.
A relative of Sonawane filed a complaint with the Bundgarden police, which has registered a case under IPC Section 363 (kidnapping).
Earlier, an infant born to a construction labourer from Vishrantwadi was stolen from the hospital five months back.
