Ahmedabad, Nov 25: Gujarat police today filed a chargesheet against six people, including Kashmir-based terrorist Chand Khan, charged under Pota, for their alleged role in Akshardham temple attack on September 24 last year. Two armed militants had killed 32 people, including three security personnel, when they stormed the temple in the state capital Gandhinagar. The 1750 page chargesheet filed by the Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) before the designated Pota court also proclaimed 28 people as absconding and wanted in this connection. The DCB also said that there are 376 witnesses in the case of which it wanted to keep names and identity of 11 as secret.
The two terrorists, who stormed the temple, were shot dead on September 25 in a wee hour crack operation by the National Security Guards (NSG). The NSG was air-dashed to Gandhinagar from Delhi to handle the crisis.
