New Delhi, July 28: Steel exports have reported a rise of 41 per cent to 10.5 lakh tonnes during April-June, 2003. The total production of finished steel grew by eight per cent at 84 lakh tonnes as against 77.79 lakh tonnes during the period April-June 2002, according to provisional figures, an official release said here today. Production of pig iron in the same period stood at 13.75 lakh tonnes as against the production of 13.04 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period last year, a rise of 5.4 per cent.
