Kolkata: Chinese-American actress Bai Ling who is in the eastern metropolis for the 21st Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF), prayed for the victims of the deadly Paris terrorist attacks that left at least 153 dead in the French capital.

Bai Ling, who has starred in major Hollywood ventures such as "Anna and The King", "Star Wars 3" and Ang Lee's "The Wedding Banquet" woke up to the news of the horrific incident that stunned France and drew global condemnation.

Bai Ling is part of the five member jury at the KIFF, which begins on Saturday. She will select the best film and best director from 14 short-listed entries helmed by women filmmakers.


After her arrival in the city on Friday, the actress toured the Alipore Zoo, India's oldest, in a cute red short romper suit. She also visited the iconic Victoria Memorial.
