Jay Z is the son I never had: Beyonce's mother

Los Angeles: Tina Knowles, Beyonce's mother, wished her son-in-law Jay Z a happy birthday with a touching message via Instagram.

"Happy Birthday to my handsome, brilliant, loving son. The son I never had, but I have now. I love you Mama," she wrote.

The photo showed the Knowles family matriarch with the lovebirds. Jay Z posted a small tribute to his parents as well, alongside an adorable throwback photo of himself as a young schoolboy.

The "Empire State of Mind" rapper was inundated with well wishes from his celebrity friends via social media, including Nicki Minaj, Sean "Puffy" Combs, and even the Brooklyn Nets.
