Amarmani`s judicial remand extended till Nov 13
Lucknow, Nov 03: A city court today extended till November 13 the judicial remand of former Uttar Pradesh minister Amarmani Tripathi in the Madhumita Shukla murder case.
Lucknow, Nov 03: A city court today extended till November 13 the judicial remand of former Uttar Pradesh minister Amarmani Tripathi in the Madhumita Shukla murder case.
Special judicial magistrate CBI M Yadav extended Tripathi's remand after hearing the counsels of CBI and the defence.
Tripathi was arrested by CBI on September 23 after his DNA tests matched those of the feotus of the young poetess who was murdered at her residence here on may nine.
The former minister was not present in the court and an application seeking exemption from personal appearance was moved by his lawyers which was allowed by the court.
The court also directed medical examination of Tripathi by a medical board after CBI moved an application alleging that he was feigning illness to avoid appearing in the court. Bureau Report
