Lucknow, Oct 11: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav asked constitutional and legal experts to provide concrete suggestions as to how to fight the menace of crime, terrorism and communalism. Inaugurating the 27th All India Criminology Conference, organised at the Lucknow University, Yadav lambasted the nexus of organized crime, terrorism and communalism. The Chief Minister categorically said his government would support, promote and accept every suggestion aimed at promoting peace, progress and prosperity. He asked the intelligentsia to promote an environment that would prevent criminal elements from entering politics. Expressing concern at the growing crime graph, Yadav said diminishing values of honesty, humanity, truthfulness, patriotism and simplicity had led to a rise in criminal activities. Yadav said that his government would cooperate with the judiciary in every possible manner to evolve an effective, quick and powerful system of criminal justice administration.
