30,000 bogus ration cards cancelled
Mumbai, Apr 04: Around 30,000 bogus ration cards have been cancelled in the metropolis, Maharashtra food and civil supplies minister Sureshdada Jain told the State Legislative assembly here today.

been cancelled in the metropolis, Maharashtra food and civil
supplies minister Sureshdada Jain told the State Legislative
assembly here today.
The rationing officers identified 30,000 such ration
cards and subsequently cancelled them, Jain said replying to a
question raised by Meenakshi Patil (PWP) and others during the
question hour regarding distribution of ration cards through
illegal means from the rationing office of Kandivali.
Bala Nandgaonkar (Sena) claimed that several Pakistani
and Bangladeshi nationals, staying illegally in the city, have
acquired bogus ration cards.
