Mumbai: Veteran actress Hema Malini has extended her wishes to women who are observing the Karva Chauth fast on Friday, while filmmaker Aishwarya R. Dhanush hoped the moon doesn't play hide-and-seek at night.
On Karva Chauth, Hindu women mostly in north India, observe a day-long fast with no food or water, for their husband's long life. They eat only after praying to the moon.
Bollywood has always brought the revelry around the festival on the silver screen with much fanfare. Be it the famous fasting scene of “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” and the “Bole chudiyan” song sequence of “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...” or the song "Chand chupa badal mein" from "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam".
Here's what the stars tweeted on the occasion:

Priyanka Chopra: To all celebrating...Karvachauth ki shubhkaamnaye
