New Delhi, July 28: The BJP today rejected Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati's demand for the dismissal of Union Tourism Minister Jagmohan on the issue of controversial Taj heritage corridor project but said the development would not affect ties with its ruling coalition ally BSP in the state. "The BJP is not in agreement with Mayawati's demand as Jagmohan is a very senior minister who knows rules and regulations in such matters," BJP spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said.
He, however, said the party was examining the issues raised by Mayawati but added that the controversy would not trigger any friction between BJP and BSP.
Meanwhile, party sources said BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu has sought details of the project from the party's state unit.
