New Delhi: During Navratri, goddess Chandraghantra, which is a form of Durga is worshipped. Chandraghanta means "one who has a half-moon shaped like a bell". The goddess is also known by the name of Chandrakhanda, Chandika or Ramchandi.

Navratri, which is a nine-day long festivity sees the devotees pray to goddess Chandraghanta on the third day. It is believed that Maa Chandraghanta blesses her devotees with grace, bravery and courage. Therefore, all the sins, physical sufferings, mental tribulations and ghostly hurdles of the devotees are eradicated.
