Hyderabad, May 23: In a new development in the baby swapping case, police today arrested Mahmooda Begum, a resident of old city from whom a baby boy missing from a government maternity hospital was recovered recently. Begum, who had delivered a baby girl in the same hospital but went back home with a male child, was taken into custody from her residence in Akbarbagh area, police said. She was arrested under Sections 419 and 201 of IPC dealing with impersonation and concealment of evidence and was being produced before the second metropolitan magistrate here, police said.
