The holy month of Ramazan or Ramadan is a period when Muslims across the globe fast for 30 long days and pray to the lord with utmost faith. It is believed that observing the Ramadan fast is one of the five pillars of the Islamic faith, alongside the profession of faith, the five daily prayers, the giving of alms and the pilgrimage to Mecca.
The month-long fasting is observed in the loving memory of the first revelation of the holy book of Quran to Prophet Muhammad, as per Islamic beliefs.
Recently, a video of a blind man regaining his eyesight after he offered namaz at the holy Mecca's Masjid al-Haram has gone viral. After he realised about the miracle, all the people around him try to congratulate the man. He seems to be totally surprised by this miracle. Chants of 'Allahu Akbar' can be heard.
However, according to India.com, this incident had many takes. While one says that as per certain local media reports, the man was not blind at all, but a professional, who came there to steal mobiles and wallets. Whereas, a person on Twitter raised doubt over the authenticity of the video and the man. He tweeted:
اللهم لك الحمد ، مصري رجع له النظر مساء أمس في مكة المكرمة

Soon after this viral video was seen everywhere, a man came forward claiming to be the blind man's son. As per the report, he had a different tale to narrate. India.com originally attributed this to Huffington Post and other media house. It states that the man called ‘Tamer Sayyed’ revealed that his father had been suffering from a blood clot in only one of his eyes. He had prospect of permanently losing his sight, but it was cured at Mecca, not full-blown blindness. It wasn’t confirmed that the man that made the Facebook post was actually the son of the accused man.
